Osama Siblani Let’s talk about Osama Siblani’s Arab American “Community” The Arab American Community of Greater Detroit? Who is it that community? As defined by Osama Siblani and his paper. We get some insights from Osama's paper of today. I turn now to the coverage of the defamatory campaign against ADC, the American Arab anti Discrimination Committee, by Osama’s “Arab American” News. The News which came out today 10/4/2013 has a story on the ADC investigation. Nabih Ayad Osama Siblani Nabih Ayad’s ACRL, the Arab American Civil Rights League, has announced the two awardees for its 2nd Annual Fight for Justice Gala. One of the two awardees is Osama Siblani, the publisher of the “Arab American” News – the very man who has been spearheading the defamatory campaign against the American Arab anti- Discrimination Committee (ADC) and Imad Hamad. What a coincidence?

Rashida Tlaib Someone who wants to play nice with Michigan House member Rashida Tlaib called her a "role model." Why? I don’t think so. How is she a role model? There are many reasons to question the wisdom of  this generous assessment for Rashida- one of them is personal to me. When I wrote an entry with a critique of  the “open letter” she issued with her stale accusations and with not enough facts to make a prima facie case of harassment against ADC and Imad Hamad she responded by a personal jab directed at me- on Facebook. Rashida Tlaib and I used to be Facebook friends. I have no personal issues with Rashida whatsoever. In fact I was a supporter of Rashida and a donor to her political campaign. She responded to my blog entry with a Facebook status update that she later deleted after having second thoughts. ADC-Michigan is facing a hostile takeover of its presence and role in the Arab American community. It’s Osama Siblani- the publisher of the   so-called Arab American News and the treasurer and the de facto president of AAPAC, the Arab American Political Action Committee. Siblani is out to grab power and expand the reach of his tentacles into all the affairs of the Arab Americans of Michigan via the affairs of a certain percentage of the 8% of the Arab Americans of Michigan who happen to live in the Dearborn area. From day 1 you could see Siblani pouncing on ADC seeing in it as an easy prey. The scandal broke from his office. The conspirators and their Palestinian moustache Rashida met in his office. His pontificating to the media, his infamous ADC “dropped the ball on us” happened at his office. Imad Hamad Rana Abbas ADC resignations, transparency and credibility: The Case of Rana Abbas A number of people associated with ADC (American Arab anti Discrimination Committee) in advisory board capacity in Detroit have submitted their resignation over the sexual harassment investigation involving Imad Hamad, Rashida Tlaib and Rana Abbas.  This development has been deemed by Arab ethnic beat reporter Niraj Warikoo as news fit to print. Rashida’s world of the banana republic and telephone justice Michigan State representative Rashida Tlaib thinks she is a member of the legislative branch of a banana republic.   Tlaib raised 15- year- old sexual harassment allegations against Imad Hamad, the former regional director of the ADC (American Arab anti-Discrimination Committee) and, along with a motley crew of who’s who of characters with an ax to grind and personal and other agendas and vendettas against ADC and Imad, succeeded in getting ADC to launch an investigation. Osama Siblani Nabih Ayad Rashida Tlaib Rana Abbas The Rashida Tlaib crusade against ADC and its regional director Imad Hamad is ongoing. Tlaib claimed that 15 years ago she was the victim of sexual harassment by Mr. Hamad. Tlaib is a board member of ACRL- an organization set up by former ADC board member Nabih Ayad. Michigan State legislator Rashida Tlaib is unethically and shamelessly using her elected position to spearhead a no- holds- barred against Imad. These sensational accusations were made to manufacture a crisis and push for the discharge of a tireless defender of civil rights. In a recent Free Press article Rashida was quoted as demanding Imad's discharge from ADC. It's despicable that Rashida Tlaib is "demanding" that ADC fire Imad.
