The UN Food Progamme

One billion people live on a dollar a day.
The Economist of 4/19/2008 writes that “the UN World Food Programme is the largest distributor of food aid and its most important barrier between hungry people and starvation.”
There is a low opinion of the UN in the US. The UN does a lot of good that is not advertised enough.

Wissam Allouche arrested by the JTTF Flag of the Lebanese Shia Amal Movement The Lessons of the Wissam Allouche case: An American Lebanese Shiite Muslim caught in the government and media dog- and- pony show Wissam Allouche, a Lebanese Shia immigrant from Lebanon was sentenced to five years in prison for lying on his citizenship application and for lying to get a security clearance from the Department of Defense. The US government had asked for a ten- year sentence.
